Regional Science City, Lucknow is a vibrant centre of scientific learning and exploration. It is a constituent unit of the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) functioning under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Originally established as the Regional Science Centre in 1989, the facility was later upgraded to its present status of “Regional Science City” with the addition of world-class facilities such as the Scimax Theatre, 3D shows, and a Marine & Freshwater Aquarium, inaugurated on 21 September 2007.
