Taramandal Show

Taramandal is a portable mini planetarium with an inflatable dome with simple projection system in which student can have interactive learning experience of elementary astronomy. Twenty five visitors can be accommodated at a time in the taramandal show. During the show you can get acquainted with various stars, constellations, zodiacs and daily astronomical phenomena in the night sky.

The Film tells the stirring story of how a Greek archaeologist of the 21st century is uncovering the secret history of his ancient ancestors who forged a society that continues to astound the world today with its ideas, inventions and achievements. Set against the breathtaking, azure vistas of the Greek Isles, the film merges a contemporary archaeological “detective story” with some of the most advanced and painstaking digital re-creations ever undertaken for an IMAX theater film, with scenes that restore such centuries-old spectacles as the Parthenon of the Classical era and the volcanic eruption that buried the Bronze Age city of Akrotiri in 1647 BC.

Mobile Science Exhibition Programm

Regional Science City acts as a bridge between scientific & technological institutions and the society keeping the public updated about the progress made in various fields of science & technology. As most of the science centres / museums are in big cities the Mobile Science Exhibition (MSE) programme of National Council of Science Museums caters to the rural populace specially rural students. Apart from this, to supplement the classroom teaching on science, the unit also takes Science Demonstration Lecture kits, telescope and projection system to screen selected science films suitable for rural children. The exhibition is normally organized in predetermined schools in close coordination with Education Authority of the district. The mobile science exhibition unit consists of 24 participatory exhibits on a particular theme. The unit remains on tour for about 9/10 months in a year, covering a minimum of 60-70 sites. It generally remains in a school for 3 days.

Science park

A large Science Park, sprawling over beautifully landscaped six acres of lush green area provides an opportunity to relax in natural surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of city- life and allows the visitors to play with an array of outdoor exhibits on physical science. Pet animal cages, aviaries, cacti corners, medicinal plant areas also enrich the environment. It is a lifetime experience of learning while playing in an open yard.

3 D Science Shows

Experience another unique facility of viewing 3-D images here using a stereo projection system and specially aligned polarized spectacles. The fang of the snake coiling out from the hat of the magician on the screen will almost tickle your nose or a fleet of rats leaping from the screen on to you lap will make you jump off the chair. Whatever be the scene on the screen, you are sure to get excited.
